I am so pleased to announce that I have two finishes for my Crazy January Challenge!! First up is Simple Joys by LHN, stitched on 28 ct antique white evenweave with the called for CC and WDW threads.
This was a fun one to stitch but I did run out of Bean Sprout and had to purchase another skein which made matching dye lots difficult but I think it turned out ok.
Next up is Bluebird by BBD stitched on the called for Cafe Kona by R&R Reproductions and GA Uniform Blue thread. An easy and quick stitch.
That makes finishes number 3 and 4 of my challenge pieces!! I am so far behind but that's ok...I am enjoying working on these pieces and that's really all that counts!
Here is the my progress on Challenge piece # 5, My Ways by La-D-Da
and #6, The Totin' Hare by La-D-Da
I hope to be able to finish both of these by the middle of August. They are both easy stitches! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I can make this happen!
This week is Vacation Bible School at church and I will be the Storyteller each day! It promises to be a fun and busy week with all the children of the church! Our theme this year is on cooking, it's called Shake It Up Cafe. Tomorrow the kids will make unleavened bread as part of their storytime and during the science lab time they will make butter. Should be so fun for them and of course they get to eat the bread and butter they make for snack time!
Hope you have enjoyed your weekend and for those in this heat wave, kept cool!!
Blessings and Happy Stitching!!

Congratulations on your beautiful finishes. Your VBS sounds like it will be lots of fun for the kids. I have many fond memories of VBS and still have a few of the little things we made there.
great finishes, what are 5 and 6 going to be?
Congrats on your finishes! Love all of your projects.
VBS sounds fun - love the theme!
I don't quite understand how your challenges work, but wanted to tell you that your Simple Joys Simple Life turned out really nice. I use to cross stitch (a long time ago), so I know how much work they can be. Nice work.

Oh golly Nancy Simple Joys is stunning! Perfectly done! And I must say your BBD pincushion is cute as a button! And that Totin' Hare...I have always loved that one...I'm going to have to buy that pattern, as I've slobbered over it more than once :)
This is my first visit to your blog Nancy. Congratulations on your two finishes! They are lovely. I am drooling over The Totin' Hare. I have never seen it before. That hare's head on your stitching is looking stunning.
