A Finish!

I finished this blanket yesterday and I am so pleased with how it turned out! Look how pretty that edging is!

Let me tell you that edging was so easy to stitch after I finally deciphered the instructions. Those instructions were so confusing, it took several tries before I got it right but things zipped right along after that.

Sure hope that the mother-to-be loves this blanket!

On another note, still no grandbaby...she is sure taking her time and making us all so impatient to meet her! I jump everytime the phone rings these days. Guess I will just have to wait though and get some stitching in to settle my nerves.

Blessings and Happy Stitching!

Almost Time!!!

Wow, time does fly! It's been over a week since my last post and I don't know how that has happened. Can't say that I have gotten a lot accomplished but still plugging along.

Here's the progress so far on that baby blanket.

See those little fingers around the edges? The last row of stitching will join all those 'finger's' together in a lacey edging. I have never worked on a edging like this and it is so much fun watching it come to life!

Next up is my progress on LHN 'Virtue Sampler'.

I just love the red in this sampler! Can't wait to get the house completed!

Well you say, what does all of the above have to do with the title!?!

I am so excited because tomorrow is the due date for the arrival of my first little grandchild!!! Yes, she is due tomorrow...will she arrive on time? Who knows! We will just have to wait and see!! Stay tuned for updates!

Happy St. Patricks Day!

Hoping that it will be a good St. Patricks day! The corned beef is simmering away waiting for me to add the potatoes, carrots and of course the cabbage. It smells so good! I cannot wait for dinner tonight.

Just wanted to update you on my progress on a couple of my WIP.
Here's the baby blanket for my son's friends!

Next up is the Virtue Sampler from LHN, not too much progress but it is coming along.

Sorry about the wrinkles but I like to stitch in hand and I don't like to iron a piece before I finish stitching.

That's it for now. Blessings!

Busy Weekend!

It was such a beautiful and busy weekend! Attended a fun baby shower for my daughter-in-law! It was so nice to be around so many friends and family. So many nice gifts for baby!

Came home and shared 'burgers and 'dogs with my family and some of their friends. It was fun listening to the conversation and joking around. I really miss having a housefull of young people around.

So good to see my kids all together at home again! Wish we could be together more often. It's hard to do with them living in different parts of the state.

Nothing much to report on the stitching front. I am working on a baby blanket for one of my oldest son's friends. It is a delicate crocheted blanket in blue. This project is taking precedence right now. That baby is not going to wait for me to finish his blanket before deciding to arrive!
I will try to post a picture when I get further along on it, hopefully by the end of the week.

Heartfelt Prayers...

Prayers being said for the people of Japan and others affected by todays earthquake and tsunami. The death and destruction is so horrible. May God give comfort and protection for the survivors...

Well, Let's Get Started!

I have been reading blogs now for about a year and have really enjoyed seeing everyone else's stitching.  There is so much talent out there!

Well, I have now made the jump...this is my attempt at sharing with all of you in blogland!  Please bear with me as I make my way around and learn how this is done.

I look forward to making some new friends and sharing my stitching life with you!  Hopefully you will find some inspiration for your own stitching and encourage me on mine.

Currently, I am working on the Little House "Virtue Sampler" and am enjoying every stitch!  Of course that is only one of my works in progress...but there will be time to introduce them later.

Thanks for visiting and will visit again soon!
