I Am So FRUSTRATED !!!!

There I was stitching away on my Little House Neighborhood when...

well I noticed I was one stitch off....

so I say to myself...

"I must have miscounted that row"....

recount....

no, right number of stitches....

well, the tree must be off by one....

recount....

no, tree is exactly right....

what could be wrong...

I know I could not have miscounted on the house....

OH NO....IT'S THE HOUSE....NO NOT THE HOUSE!!!.....

yep it's the house,

exactly one stitch off center...

I am not frogging that house!!!...

so I guess the only thing left to do is salvage what I can of the linen for some small projects
and just start over!!!

BUT NOT TONIGHT!!!

Think I will put that project away for a day or two or weeks or ?????

Here's what it looked like before I worked on it today.
I finished the tree, started on the grass and was stitching the vine on the left of the house when I noticed the problem.

Oh well, guess I will laugh about this goof someday in the future, probably the far future!

Oh, I hate that - poor you! Can you work around it somehow? It looks okay in the pic.

ok I can't see where exactly it is a stitch out soooo .. as long as it doesn't affect the over all picture carry on ??? as it would be a shame to waste all that work .... just for one stitch :( love mouse xxxx

Oh, Nancy, so sorry this has happened! I feel your pain. Are you not able to fudge somewhere else and keep going?

Oh golly Nancy...one stitch? I'd let it go and work around it somehow...with the border wavy, I'm sure you could do something to make it work...and no one would ever know except you....

I'd say adjust the border and the tree so it works for the rest of your pattern. You have done such a great job it would be a shame to scrap it now.

Oh there must be some way to work around it! All that work just can't be tossed! I hope you find a solution -- it's so pretty! I'm sorry for the frustration. I so hate when that sort of thing happens. And yes, it's happened to everyone!

I would say if you are able to fudge it and work around being one stitch off, then you should! What a pretty piece!

Oh please try to work around your one stitch off! This is too great to stop. If I pitched every project that had a mistake - my walls would be bare!

Maybe you just need to set it aside for a few days and look at it later. It is SO frustrating when that happens, but maybe you can work around it and then you'll always know it's "yours". : ) Who says it has to look exactly like the pattern??? ; )

Oh...so sorry about your frog! I hope things turn out better next time around!

For the sake of one stitch I would not be frogging that house! I'm with the others in saying that I'm sure you could work around it somehow and no one would be the wiser.

I'd bet we have ALL been where you are. I agree with the others--set it aside for a day or two, then look again and find a way to work around it. Sending you a big hug!

JUST A SUGGESTION, I would not start over but just remove the left side of the border, add one stitch in the middle, change the little red flower and restitch the border and centre everything else on the house. There is always a way to fix something like this, but just remember to add the stitch at the bottom of the border also. It will work, and it will look fabulous. (Maybe put 2011 over one, where that red flower is at the top, and your initials at the bottom.)
Be always in stitches

I feel your pain all the way here in Canada! I agree with everyone else, is there any way to salvage it?

Oh no! My heart just sunk for you Nancy :o( Hopefully you can walk away from it for now and take time to think about it.

Been there - Done that - So sorry -
If you are going to scrap the project you should cut the house out and make a Christmas ornament - Just buy a little wreath button to put on the front door - I think it would be cute ;)

Oh, agh!!! Can you frog it?! I know I'm late to the game (had my mother visiting) but I'd hate to have to frog that whole thing. I'm a big believer in fudge. Both in the candy and in fudging my needlework. ;)
